Corona Virus Update

It’s great that Boris Johnson has relaxed the rules on weddings again. If you feel that the new rules wouldn’t allow you to have the wedding you want then I recommend postponing. Don’t worry – I am here to help you do this. As I tend to get booked up a couple of years ahead though, it’s a good idea to contact me as soon as possible. I will do my best to accommodate a change of date and/or venue.

Also, talk to your venue as soon as you can. This way you will be in the strongest position to find an alternative date that works for you. Acting now can help you keep the majority of your plans and financial commitments in place. I also recommend considering ‘off-peak’ dates and seasons, where venues are more likely to have availability. Don’t worry – your photographs will still be stunning!

I’ve been unable to cover some postponed weddings, but I will do everything I can to find you a suitable alternative photographer. All of the wedding suppliers I have talked to recently are bending over backwards to be available for postponements. Many of the local suppliers are also helping brides out, stepping in where others can’t. Please remember that this can be a stressful time for suppliers too- often independent businesses and small teams that are financially affected by the outbreak, we are all doing our best to support each other.

If you want to see the BBC’s simplified version of the latest rules then I suggest reading this article.

Hitched have also covered questions such as “Will I Need to Postpone or Cancel My Wedding Because of Coronavirus?” in their article “Will Coronavirus Affect My Wedding Day?”.

I really hope this helps and please know that I am here if you need any help, of any kind, at all! We are all in this together and we need to keep our dreams and our businesses alive.
